What We Set, and When
Our default position is that nothing optional runs on this site without your active consent. Our page-view analytics counts visits in aggregate and places no cookies and nothing in your browser. The interactive graphic on our home page saves a little of its own display state locally so it runs smoothly; nothing identifies you and nothing is sent anywhere. Microsoft Clarity, which helps us see how pages are used, runs only if you choose Accept in the cookie banner, and your choice itself is stored so we do not ask you again.
Nothing that identifies you or stores anything optional on your device runs until you actively consent via the banner. Browser-level opt-out signals (such as Global Privacy Control) are honoured as a refusal, and the table below lists exactly what is set, by whom, why, and for how long.

The lifetimes shown for the Microsoft-set cookies are from Microsoft's published Clarity cookie list rather than observed on this site, and Microsoft may change them; the ncs-consent retention is our own setting.
Our page-view analytics (Vercel Web Analytics) sets no cookies and stores nothing in your browser. Visitors are counted using a temporary identifier derived from the page request, discarded within 24 hours, which cannot recognise you across days or across sites. It runs without a consent prompt because nothing is stored on your device and nothing identifies you. If your browser sends the Global Privacy Control signal, our analytics does not run at all.
If you accept analytics in the banner, we use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use this site, through aggregated heatmaps and session recordings - a replay of clicks, scrolls and page content, with typed text masked. Nothing from Clarity runs before you choose Accept, and declining changes nothing about how the site works. Microsoft processes this data as described in its own privacy statement.
Third-Party Requests That Do Happen
One standard third-party request is worth knowing about (fonts are self-hosted, so no font network is contacted):
- Our contact page embeds our scheduling provider’s booking calendar, which loads from the provider when the page opens. The provider’s own cookie policy applies inside the calendar.

Managing Cookies
Your browser lets you block or delete cookies for any site at any time via its privacy settings. You can also change your analytics choice: clearing this site's data removes the stored choice, and the banner will ask you again on your next visit.
